The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation awarded $277,500 to 108 organizations in 19 communities in 2022. These grants represent a 15% increase over 2021 grants making this the foundations largest award year to date. We are proud to support these outstanding organizations. These agencies address many critical needs in the areas of Affordable Housing, Arts and Culture, Community Service and Economic Development, Education and Health and Human Service.
The Savings Bank of Danbury is proud of our commitment to provide financial support to organizations vital to the well-being, growth and prosperity in the communities we serve. In all, we contributed $2,170,100 to over 223 different organizations in 2022. The emphasis of our donations was in the areas of food insecurity, housing and mental health. We extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to these outstanding agencies, their staff and volunteers. They work tirelessly every day to ensure that our communities are better places to live and work. Individuals and families can reach out to agencies when in need 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
