As a Connecticut community bank, we are proud to support our local communities. 

Our mission is to help strengthen our local communities by providing grants to organizations that are vital to the well-being, growth and prosperity of the places in which we live and work. Since its inception in 2004, the Foundation has donated over $1.4 million to area non-profit organizations.

The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation was established to provide grants to eligible 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations in five primary areas:

  • Affordable Housing
  • Arts & Culture
  • Community & Economic Development
  • Education
  • Health & Human Services

Foundation Guidelines

The Grants Committee will meet once a year to review requests. To apply for a grant, an eligible organization must submit a completed application by September 30, 2016. Make sure to review the application's checklist and include all of the elements listed on the application.
